Mean daily discharge and water temperature data for Oksrukuyik Creek from June to September, 2002


Oksrukuyik Creek stage height and calculated discharge for the summer of 2002 as well as Oksrukuyik Creek continuous temperature recorded by a Campbell CR10 data logger. Measurements were taken about 10 meters downstream of the road (2.6k below the original N and P dripper). In Summer 2009, this location moved upstream of the road, do to the construction of a culvert.

Stage height measurements were taken every ten minutes with a Campbell CR-10 data logger, at the USGS gauging station, 10 meters downstream of the Dalton Highway crossing. Discharge measurements were taken by Adrian Green and Kevin Barnes using a Marsh McBirney flow meter at a location 20 meters below the chart recorder. Flow was measured at 20 points for each transect. A total of 6 discharge measurements were used to calibrate the rating curves for this year. The rating curve equation used to calculate discharge is Discharge = a(x^b) where a=3e-13, b=6.23, and x=stage height in centimeters. Arctic LTER Streams Protocols
