Identification to the level of taxa was made via light microscopy from known
volumes in settling chambers.

B= phytoplankton biomass (ug l-1 wet mass)
Cyanophytes C= B x 0.22
Thecate dinoflagellates C= B x 0.13
Diatoms C= B x 0.11
