Abstract:
Data on Eriophorum vaginatum leaf length collected from common gardens established at Toolik Lake, Coldfoot, and Sagwon in 2014 with tussocks from Coldfoot, Toolik Lake, and Sagwon. Data collected during the growing seasons of 2015, 2016, and 2017

Reciprocal transplant garden comprises of tussocks transplanted between Coldfoot (CF), Toolik Lake (TL), Sagwon (SG) as arranged at Coldfoot (top figure) and Sagwon and Toolik (bottom figure). Each plot contains three tussocks, 30-50 cm apart. At Toolik Lake and Sagwon the plots are arranged in pairs and once of each pair is warmed using an open top chamber.
One tiller on one tussock per plot was tagged at its base using a plastic zip tie. The dead, brown leaves were clipped from the tiller and the total length and the green length of each live leaf was measured to the closest 0.5 cm approximately weekly. This was done by placing the ruler as far into the tussock as possible and measuring from that point to the end of the leaves.
#A note on some leaf lengths
Some leaves were measured with rulers with irregular extra lengths on the ruler, therefore this amount (e.g. 8 mm) was subtracted from the measured amount
Data is separated into two sheets: 'All leaves' contains leaves that were already partly senesced at the beginning of the season and leaves that were initialized but for growth in the next season
Active leaves only' only include leaves that have no senesced portions and/or are actively elongating in that year
