Chlorophyll and Primary Production - Chlorophyll and primary production data for each lake and year for which it was collected and analyzed. Most data files appear in the format of one file for each lake during each year, but some multiple year or multiple lake sets are available
Nutrients -Nutrient analysis including ammonia, soluble reactive phosphorus, total dissolved nitrogen, total dissolved phosphorus, and particulate nitrogen/carbon/phosphorus, data is posted for each lake and year for which it was collected and analyzed. Most data files appear in the format of one file for each lake during each year, bust some multiple year or lake sets are available
Physical and Chemical Parameters - Measurements taken at every meter or half meter, including temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, and PAR. Also included are base cations, anion, and alkalinity for select depths
Fish - Capture/recapture totals, species, length, and weight of lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush), arctic grayling (Thymallus arcticus), round whitefish (Prosopium cylindraceum), burbot (Lota lota), and arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus)
Plankton - Zooplankton, microplankton, and picoplankton water column profiles and densities for lakes sampled during a given year
Bacteria - Bacterial counts and composition for Toolik Lake
Isotopic Values - Carbon and nitrogen isotopic signatures in biotic and abiotic samples
Landscape Interactions Data - Dissolved Organic Carbon, Dissolved Gasses, and Lake Met. Station Data

This file contains the fish number, recap number, species, lengths, weights, sex and a list of tissues sampled of fish captured in lakes near the Toolik Lake Arctic LTER site during summers from 1986 to 2021. The file also contains information from gill-netted fish (if any), sacrificed fish, and accidentally killed fish. All dead fish are included, and if their stomachs and otoliths were taken, that is noted also. |

We tested effects of temperature (12 and 19.3 degrees C; 27 days) on habitat use, consumption, and growth of slimy sculpin (Cottus cognatus). To measure temperature selection by sculpin, we connected two 5.7 L tanks with a PVC pipe that was passable by sculpin (n = 12 tanks). We heated one side of the tank to 12 °C and the other to 19.3 °C using aquarium heaters. |

We measured the flux of bulk material and major macronutrients (carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus) from the water column to the benthos in four separate lakes during the summer of 2009. The lakes were chosen to investigate the impacts of disturbance on lake sedimentation. Two of the lakes, Dimple and Perched, were within catchments that were burned by the 2007 Anaktuvuk River wildfire. Two of the lakes, NE-14 and Perched, were receiving elevated sediment loads from thermokarst failures on their shorelines, and Toolik Lake was used as a reference lake. |
