Methods: 

These are microclimate data that were logged hourly to a CR1000 datalogger. All sensors, except the soil water sensor, were scanned every 30 seconds and averaged hourly. The soil water sensor was measured just at the top of the hour. Sensors are as follows:

Air temperature and relative humidity: Campbell Scientific CS215
Wind speed: Met One 014A
Soil temperature: Campbell Scientific 107
Volumetric soil water content: Campbell Scientific CS616
